Find the right ATS for your team in 60 seconds
Answer 8 questions and our scoring engine — built on the 2026 AI Hiring Index methodology — recommends your best-fit applicant tracking system, plus three alternatives worth evaluating.
How the ATS Picker works
Choosing an applicant tracking system in 2026 is harder than ever. Vendors collapse the market into a single "AI-powered hiring" pitch, but the actual differences — EU AI Act readiness, NYC AEDT bias-audit support, transparent pricing, native migration tooling, implementation speed — vary by an order of magnitude. The ATS Picker uses the same scoring engine we built for the public 2026 AI Hiring Index, weighted by what you tell us about your team in 8 quick questions.
Headcount, hiring volume, geography and compliance exposure size the recommendation to your stage.
Each ATS is scored against your weighted profile across 5 dimensions and 40 criteria — vendor-neutral.
We surface the best-fit ATS plus three alternatives worth evaluating — with the rationale behind each.
Methodology
Quick answer
What dimensions does the 2026 AI Hiring Index score?
Each ATS is rated on five dimensions — AI capability and explainability, compliance posture (EU AI Act, NYC AEDT, EEOC, GDPR, OFCCP), pricing transparency, implementation speed and migration support, and platform maturity for the buyer's stage. Forty individual criteria roll up into a 0–100 composite score.

The picker takes your answers, builds a weighted buyer profile, and matches that profile against each vendor's strength signals. Size mismatches and budget conflicts apply hard penalties so you never see a vendor whose pricing or scale clearly excludes you.

Frequently asked questions
How does the ATS Picker work?
You answer 8 questions about your team size, hiring volume, geography, compliance exposure, AI priorities, budget, urgency, and current ATS situation. We aggregate weighted signals against the 2026 AI Hiring Index scoring of 10 vendors and return your best-fit ATS plus three alternatives — usually in under 60 seconds.
Is the recommendation vendor-neutral?
Yes. The scoring engine is the same one used in the public 2026 AI Hiring Index. TenPerZent is one of the 10 ranked vendors and never appears at #1 unless your inputs justify it. Buyers who don't match our profile are routed to Ashby, Workable, Personio, Greenhouse and others.
Which ATS platforms are covered?
Ashby, TenPerZent, Workable, Personio, Recruitee, Greenhouse, BambooHR, JOIN, Zoho Recruit and Bullhorn — chosen because they collectively cover the SMB, scaleup, mid-market and EU-compliance segments most buyers shortlist.
Why does the EU AI Act matter for ATS selection?
From August 2026, AI systems used in employment decisions are classified as 'high-risk' under the EU AI Act. Any ATS used to screen, rank, or shortlist EU-based candidates needs documented risk management, human oversight controls, transparency to candidates and provider-side technical documentation. Vendors without this in place force the burden onto you.
How accurate is a 60-second ATS recommendation?
It is a starting shortlist, not a final decision. The picker reliably eliminates 6–8 vendors that don't fit your stage, budget or compliance profile and surfaces the 2–4 worth a real evaluation. Use it to focus your demos, then validate with a hands-on trial.
Do you store the answers I submit?
No personal data is stored. Your answers live only in the URL query string (so you can share or bookmark a result) and in your browser memory while the page is open.
